Vision
Luxuriant World was created to showcase a carefully selected collection of up-scale hotels with a genuine sense of place — distinctive properties that reflect the culture, heritage and character of their destination, with sustainability woven quietly through every part of the hotel.
These are thoughtfully, sensitively created and operated hotels which have been designed with genuine care for their surroundings and the communities around them. That same rigour runs through how they're represented, shaped by more than 25 years' experience and relationships built across the industry over that time.
Monique de Beer, Founder

Born and raised in South Africa, Monique's outlook was shaped early by a culture where waste and excess were always considered, and where small, thoughtful touches and genuine personal service were prized above all else. That instinct, for restraint on one hand, and generosity of attention on the other, has quietly shaped everything since, from an initial career in interior design into travel and hospitality. She began her career in Johannesburg, before relocating to Ireland and the UK — where, across more than 25 years in the industry, she has built deep expertise and an extensive network spanning Luxury, Leisure, Groups & MICE and Entertainment.
She held a number of defining positions across her career as Director of Group & MICE Sales at both Mandarin Oriental and Shangri-La, as Head of Sales – Lifestyle and Entertainment, leading the Luxury Consortia and Entertainment segments for art'otel, Holmes Hotel and Park Plaza (Radisson Hotel Group), and, earlier on, as a founding member launching inVOYAGE, a B2B tradeshow for the luxury incentive travel market.
Monique relaunched Luxuriant World around that experience and network — to help independent hotels, resorts and unique travel experiences strengthen their presence, with the kind of thoughtful, personal service that comes from genuinely caring, and a quiet commitment to sustainability along the way. It's simply how Monique has always worked, long before it became a business philosophy.
